Families & Children in Worship

We welcome children in our worship services and offer several options for families:

Kid’s Worship – 2nd & 4th Sundays of the month. Parents may pick up their children in Room 119.
Nursery – Available every Sunday for children age 4 and under in Room 108.
Cry Room – A private space for parents with infants who need a quieter setting while still being able to watch and hear the service.
Sensory Room (Room 115) – Specially designed for children who may need a quiet, calming space during worship. The service is live streamed into the room so families can participate together in a more relaxed environment. Open to all ages, but children under 16 must be accompanied by a parent or adult.

Cornerstones Outing

Today the cornerstones will enjoy a buffet lunch at the Woodford Inn then travel to the Woodford Theatre to see the play Annie .

Christmas Love offering for staff.

SPRC coordinates a Christmas Love Offering to show appreciation for the paid staff of VUMC. If you would like to contribute, use the red or green envelopes located in the chair-back pockets or at the Welcome Center. Contributions should be made by December 15. If you have questions, contact Jenny Cocanougher or Cheryl Copley.

Christmas Cantata December 14

VUMC joins Simpson UMC and Pisgah Presbyterian for a Christmas Cantata at 10:30am followed by a soup and sandwich luncheon. A second performance at VUMC will be that evening at 7:00 pm.

Christmas Eve Candlelight Service

Join us at 6:30PM for a serene service to share Christ’s birth story, sing carols, and welcome the light of Christ; all are welcome to celebrate the joy of Christmas.

VUMC Christmas Card Exchange

The Christmas Card Exchange table is located in the atrium. Simply place cards in the appropriate boxes. Please remember VUMC members who are unable to attend. A list of names and addresses is also located on the table. Take the list home and mail cards to those on the list. If a name has been omitted, please inform the office.
